The Purchase “Block Fin” was created by Christian Wach of Canvas Surfboards. The idea behind the cut away was to minimize the base without compromising the width of the fin. With the smaller base, transitions into turns are much smoother, with less pivot and more flow. It also makes it possible to move the fin a lot further back in the box. This is a contemporary pivot fin design that is great for any noserider.
Technical info: This is a large area fin. An inch and a half up from the base, the widest point is 7 inches. At the base the width is 6 inches.
